KANYE WEST & SUNDAY SERVICE CHOIR – O MIRA NOX
O Mira Nox is off Kanye West & Sunday Service Choir joint EP called “Emanuel”
Top rated American award-winning rapper, record producer, and fashion designer Kanye West come through with a joint EP album with Sunday Services Choir which they labelled “Emanuel EP”.
It’s Christmas Day, that special holiday where we remember the 2019 release of Kanye West’s last album, Jesus Is Born, with the Sunday Service Choir. It’s also the day we celebrate the birth of baby Jesus, and if you had forgotten about that last part, Kanye has returned to remind you, with a brand-new surprise album entitled Emmanuel. According to the project’s press release, the five-track EP “introduces a composition of a new sound, inspired by ancient and Latin music.”
West composed and executive produced Emmanuel, which we’d describe as atmospheric, classic church music with some Gregorian chant influences, which stands in contrast to the vibrant gospel offerings of Jesus Is Born. You can listen to the EP below, or wherever you stream your music. ‘Cause if you weren’t planning on attending church for Christmas, Kanye and the Sunday Service Choir are happy to bring the church to you.
Exactly one year after the release of Jesus Is Born, Kanye West’s Sunday Service Choir have returned with an EP called Emmanuel. The five-song project was composed and executive produced by West. Listen to Emmanuel below.
According to press materials, Emmanuel means “God is with us” and the music featured on the EP is composed of “ancient and Latin inspired new music.” The EP was released on Christmas day in “celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ.”
Kanye West’s last solo studio album Jesus Is King arrived last year following multiple delays. This year, he’s shared a few one-off singles, including “Wash Us in the Blood” with Travis Scott, “DONDA,” and “Nah Nah.” He was meant to release a new album, also called DONDA, this summer, however the LP never materialized.
