Burna Boy and Tems, a Grammy-winning Nigerian singing duo, made their debut at the Met Gala, the most renowned and beautiful fashion event in the world.
The 2023 Met Gala was held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on Monday night, and the afrobeats stars dazzled the red carpet.
The event was graced by Burna Boy, who wore a matched black and blue costume with subtle checkered patterns as well as a substantial extension of the same material flowing behind him.
Tems made a statement with a handmade Rober Wun dress that featured an elbow-length pair of gloves and a flowing, regal white finish at the bottom.
Dunsin Wright dressed the singer who was nominated for an Oscar.
Rihanna, Kim Kardashian, Cardi B, Diddy, Dr. Dre, Naomi Campbell, and South African comedian Trevor Noah were among the famous attendees at the "Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty" 2023 Met Gala.
Tems spoke candidly about her enthusiasm for her Met Gala debut in a side conversation with ESSENCE.
Oh my goodness, she exclaimed. I've never participated in the Met Gala before. I'm ecstatic, so. First time for me. "It's gonna be lit!"
