Martins Joel Olayemi, popularly known as Mertez was born into the family of Olayemi on the 14th September 1996.

He hail from Omu-Aran in Irepodun local government area of kwara state.

His primary education was at st Mary Nursery and primary school Ajangbadi, Lagos state and secondary school was at Soltabaj Royal college Afromedia, Ajangbadi Lagos state of Nigeria.

He has his OND in Mechanical Engineering at Kwara state polytechnic, Ilorin, Kwara state.

He is a great and passionate singer, Rapper and songwriter. He started singing when he was at primary school, he also joined school choir at his secondary school, he participated in a lots of school choir activities and he plays a major role.
