Fireboy DML knows a thing or two about rising to fame, and he has put that knowledge on full display following his post on Twitter.

The Scatter singer took to the microblogging site to give fellow artists a harsh reality check. He revealed the surest way to become a superstar like Davido and co is – having a few haters.

According to Fireboy, an artist is not a ‘real’ superstar if everybody loves him. He stated that as an artist, one is expected to have a few haters here and there. This fuels the hunger for success in the artist and eventually helps in making the artist better than he ever was. In his own words, he wrote:

“You’re not a real superstar if everybody likes you lmao.”
