Amotekun arrests hoodlum terrorising Osun community

In Osun State, the Western Nigeria Security Network (Amotekun) has detained a 37-year-old thug who has been terrorizing locals.

In Isokan Local Government Area, the suspect is accused of making life difficult for residents of Ikoyi-Ile Town.

Retired Brigadier General Bashir Adewinmbi, the commander of the Osun Amotekun Corps, claimed that he was detained on Wednesday as a result of many allegations.

Adewinmbi revealed that the assailant typically works alone and regularly uses a cutlass and charms to assault town residents.

He confessed to acting in an unpleasant manner and stirring up trouble in the neighborhood while being questioned. He cried out for pardon.

The Osun police command has received the suspect for further investigation and potential prosecution.

Adewinmbi warned citizens to be on guard and warned that anyone caught using violence would face the full force of the law.

The retired General thanked the locals for providing information to Amotekun and claimed that their assistance had reduced crime and resulted in the arrest of offenders.
